Who We Are
A Trusted, Inclusive Community for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
Serving the Quinebaug Valley Since 1973
At Thornfield Hall, we believe everyone deserves meaningful opportunities, no matter their ability. As a licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) in Connecticut, we’ve supported individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 50 years, and we serve as a residence for some.
Our mission is simple: to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where individuals can build skills, connect with others, and enjoy life through free, hands-on programs. Whether it’s learning to cook, caring for animals, doing crafts, or gaining real-world job experience, we’re here to support growth, confidence, and joy.
