Farm Training Program
Hands-On Learning for Individuals with IDD
Our Farm Training Program at the David James Farm offers a safe, welcoming space for our IDD participants to build real-world skills, grow confidence, and connect with nature. Participants get hands-on experience in animal care, gardening, and daily farm tasks — all at no cost. The goal is simple: to offer meaningful work that can lead to greater independence or even future employment. This program is available on any day, but participation should be prearranged.

Farm Experience Day
Join us for Farm Experience Day on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with 1.5-hour time slots available throughout the day. This hands-on program offers participants the chance to care for animals, tend gardens, and explore nature. Please note: the farm area is not handicap accessible, and we recommend speaking with us first to ensure it’s a good fit.
